Early in the morning everything is gray, it's chilly and it's raining a little. You wonder: why am I here?
You don't know yet that it's likely going to be the most beautiful day so far.
Got up early in the morning. I had to wait a few hours for the ferry.
Once arrived on the island Senja, it quickly becomes clear what a special island this is. The mountains here pretty much rise straight up. The waterfalls are hundreds of meters high. Moreover, it's very quiet on the island. Nature is much more present.
Cycling here is not boring either. The climbs are steep. Once I had to climb 250 meters. You think you've had enough because you're going into a tunnel. But no, in the tunnel you happily keep climbing in first gear.
Once out of the tunnel at the highest point, I find myself face to face with the largest Reindeer so far. What a beast it was.
The photos speak for themselves, I think.
I didn't make it to Lofoten as it got too late, so I'm leaving the island of Senja early tomorrow morning.
