Furious, turbulent, and with an empty stomach

The title sums up the day well.

Turbulent day today. Lots of rain.
Last 30km was a headwind of force 7.
Last 10km even more.

There were moments when I couldn't move forward in first gear. Strangely enough, I usually had little trouble with that headwind and rain. The surroundings were as rugged as the ride itself, it was not boring.
Fortunately, there were also plenty of tunnels, which are windless and thus a pleasant change.

I was highly motivated to get away from the Lofoten and the weather here. That certainly helped.

Then by ferry to Bodo. That's over three hours of sailing. However, the sea was very rough with high waves. Sometimes the wave went over the windows of the top floor. Bizarre! Really an extreme boat trip. The boat is a plaything of the elements.
My stomach didn't like that. And neither did that of many other people.
So you can imagine how it is here. People are truly sick. I'm feeling okay again.
Anyway, it’s quite an adventure to walk through the ship.

I'm arriving in Bodo soon and expect to reach Sweden in a few days. The weather will not improve in Norway anytime soon, so I'm heading towards Swedish Lapland.

Update: in Bodo, the nicest hotel room so far. Affordable by Norwegian standards. See last two photos.
